This university was established in Hisar on October 20, 1995. It was inaugurated on November 1, 1995. Some other things are also focused new confines of technology, pharmacy, environmental studies, non-conventional energy sources and management studies and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields. The university has awarded grade ‘A’ by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council.
The Universities spread over an area of about 372 acres. The campus of this university is situated containing a proper environment with the architecture and natural beauty. Approximate 225 acres has been developed with some advance facilities such as road networks, sewerage pipelines, electricity and parks. The campus of this university was very large. It contain seven teaching blocks. In this 149 residential houses for employees. The university has the branch of Punjab National Bank with ATM and a post office. Beautification of the campus is being a priority to provide a healthy and pollution-free environment.
Guru Jambheshwar University provided a lot of degree programmes for the under graduated and post graduates degree courses. All these degree courses are affiliated by UGC/ AICTE. Some departments are Arts, Life Science, Engineering & Technology, Hisotry and so on.
