Overview :

MAT or Management Aptitude Test is an all India level test conducted for admission into Management Schools. It is conducted 4 times every year to give an opportunity to all those candidates who want to pursue a career in management. MAT 2017 is conducted in Feb, May, September and December. The score obtained in MAT is valid for only one year. There are two modes in which this exam is conducted i.e. Paper Mode and Online Mode. The Paper Based Test is usually conducted on first Sundays of February, May, September and December and the Computer-based Test is conducted on the Saturdays (usually 6 days after the Paper-based test). Vacancy Details :

The number of seats is not specified for this exam, Though all the top leading management institutes come under this and every college has a set number of seats. The no. of seats will be mentioned on the official website in a detailed format of college wise classification. Reservation in seats is expected as per the categories and the government norms. The reservation will only be provided if you submit all the necessary supporting documents to prove your reservation. Eligibility Criteria :

  • MAT is an eligibility test whose result is valid for only one year. This also comes in the leading and toughest test for admission into B-schools. The aspirants who would like to pursue in management should possess a Bachelor's degree in Science, Commerce, Arts, etc
  • Candidates who are in final year of graduation, can also apply for the exam.
  • The applicant should have at least 50% in their graduation and the reserved categories have been given a relaxation of 5% i.e. 45% in graduation.
  • NRIs can also for the test
  • There is no limit on the no. of attempts for an individual

Age Limit

How to Apply :

How to apply for MAT 2017?

  • The candidate has to apply via two modes i.e. Online or Offline
  • For Online Mode the applicant has to visit the Web Portal of AIMA or the Official website I.e.
  • The MAT 2017 Application Form will be available on the official website
  • After submission of the form, scrutinization of forms will be done by the authorities, and an acknowledgement slip will be handed over to the student or candidate.
  • The form is fully filled and verified will be assured by the acknowledgement slip.
  • For Offline mode the applicant has to send all application form along with all the supporting documents at the given or mentioned address of AIMA before the last date for submission.

Application Fee :

All the applicants have to pay an amount of Rs. 1200 as application fee. There is no fee concession mentioned for reserved categories. Once the fees are paid, then it is non-refundable. The fee payment can be done through any Online mode like Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, Cash, etc. The Demand Draft has to be made in favor of All India Management Association from any bank.

Selection Procedure :

There will be a Cut-off list, and the candidates who will cross the cut off will be called for the further evaluation process. The written or the MAT 2017 Exam will be considered as the qualifying exam then the further selection process will vary from institute to institute. Some institutes can conduct Group Discussion(GD), Written Ability Test(WAT), Personal Interview(PI) to analyze the applicant's thought process and written ability.
